These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Tenantreport web platform and related services ("Services"), operated by Tenantreport Inc. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other applicable policies provided by TenantReport.

1. Definitions

1.1 "Tenant" refers to an individual or entity applying for or managing a rental property through TenantReport.

1.2 "Landlord" refers to an individual or entity offering a property for rent through the platform.

1.3 "User" means any registered or unregistered person accessing the platform.

1.4 "Reports" refer to credit, background, employment, and rental history checks generated through the TenantReport platform.

2. User Responsibilities

Users agree to provide accurate and truthful information when using the platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

3. Permitted Use

The TenantReport platform may only be used for legitimate rental application, tenant screening, and property management purposes. You must not use the Services to discriminate, harass, or violate applicable human rights or privacy laws.

4. Data Privacy and Security

TenantReport complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable privacy laws in Canada. Your personal data, including uploaded documents, will be encrypted and used solely for tenancy evaluation and management purposes.

5. Fees and Payments

Certain features such as credit checks, Rent Promise coverage, and premium reporting services may incur fees. By using these features, you agree to pay the applicable charges as displayed during checkout.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and code on the TenantReport platform are the property of TenantReport Inc. or its licensors. Users are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the platform for its intended purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

TenantReport provides its Services on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. TenantReport shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Services.

8. Termination

TenantReport reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time for violations of these Terms or misuse of the Services.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
